Cet appareil permet de mesurer les pertes diélectriques dans un liquide isolant électrique lorsqu'il est utilisé dans un champ électrique alternatif, ainsi que l'énergie dissipée sous forme de chaleur. Un faible facteur de dissipation (ou facteur de puissance) indique de faibles pertes diélectriques en courant alternatif. Le facteur de dissipation (ou facteur de puissance) peut être utile pour le contrôle qualité et pour indiquer les variations de qualité résultant d'une contamination et d'une détérioration en service ou suite à une manipulation.

Overview
HK-6100 conforms to ASTM D924 Standard Test Method for Dissipation Factor (or Power Factor) and Relative Permittivity (Dielectric Constant) of Electrical Insulating Liquids. This apparatus is used to measure the dielectric losses in an electrical insulating liquid when used in an alternating electric field and of the energy dissipated as heat. A low dissipation factor or power factor indicates low ac dielectric losses. Dissipation factor or power factor may be useful as a means of quality control, and as an indication of changes in quality resulting from contamination and deterioration in service or as a result of handling.
